CNA Acute Care
Hours 72 Hours Total: 48 didactic/lecture hours; 24 clinical training hours
Continuing Education Units: 56 CE Units
Purpose: This comprehensive training course will provide the CNA with the necessary knowledgeand skills needed to be able to deliver direct patient care to adults with complex and acute illnessbeing cared for in emergency departments, intensive care units, trauma units or otherspecialty care areas.The course will emphasize critical thinking and problem solving skills,as well as emphasize key components required for communicatingand collaborating with interdisciplinary health care professionals.Eligibility Requirements: Fluency In English, Current / Valid California Nurse Assistant Certification, CurrentCPR Certification, Valid Goverment Issued Photo ID (State Driver's License, State ID, Passport, etc.),Physical Examination with proof of negative TB test or chest x-ray (radiology report).
